Made in three hours across two days for Trijam 371 - One Way Ticket.

Development Insights

This was my first Trijam, and I enjoyed the fact I was forced to come up with an actually playable version quickly, something I otherwise tend to struggle with at 48-hour jams. Throughout my jam-time, I didn't realize that idea-finding does not count against the 3-hour limit, so I somewhat rushed the concept-phase and ended up choosing an idea that had less meat on the bones than I anticipated. With the idea-phase subtracted from my total time, I came in at 2:40 hours.

While I managed to implement all game mechanics roughly as planed, the same can't be said about level design. I'd have liked there to be multiple level, but what ended up in the game was my sole test-level with characters scattered across willy nilly ðŸ¥²

Also it would have been nice to have some UI. Display the water-level and visualize  how close the player is to reaching the water-level that ends the game  — but alas, it didn't happen, maybe another time, see ya 'round!

got 7 people saved, good execution for that short time and an interesting concept!

For being made in only three hours this ist still impressive and at least the core mechanics are there to test the game idea and I would say it works and could be made into something bigger or be part of something other!

thanks, that's how I feel about it too! Still some wokshoppin required to extract the juice from the concept :]
